Has anyone put a bigger throttle body on their 6 cylinder engines? I was just reading an article on a Jeep Wrangler (which also has a 4 litre inline 6 cylinder engine) that had a 6mm larger throttle body put on it. I'm not exactly sure how much of power increase that it gave it though. Another web site that I visited had bigger throttle bodies for Mitsubishi's (http://www.rpw.com.au/fuelmods.html#V6 throttle bodies). This mod alone seems to give the engine a huge increase in power. Does anyone have any info on if its feasible and the costs associated with doing it? Thanks.

I'll answer,some thought?What is the original size? from what I have seen they are fairly big, about the same as v8.5 Ltr V8's are 60 to 65 t.b.The inlet duct from air cleaner to t.b has been made bigger from some I have seen.The factory tapper them down to keep noise down from induction,to satisfy e.p.a.Check out xr6's inlet ducts on all models.Keep old gear in case stuffs tuning.
