This might seem a silly question,

Can some one please tell me, the diameter of the wheel caps on 17" Tickford alloy wheels? The ones with the small Tickford wings in the center that clip in to the wheel.

I'm hoping they will fit the wheels I just bought for my car as I'm not keen on the ones that came with them. These caps have an inner diameter of 57mm (where the clips are) and an outside dia of 60mm.

I only ask this as I don't want to buy them only to have to take them back due to a size difference. Unfortunately the Ford caps on my standard slasher type wheels are too big.

bad luck mate, they are 69 mm on the outside.

ill have a look at my fairmont when it comes back and get back to you on this.

If i'm not wrong the centre caps on the 17's are the same as the ones on your 16's. I think Ford pretty much use the same size for all their alloy wheels.

If Its the Wings your after, one of the series 1 T Series wheels came with them as a seperate part, thats how i got them for my ED 15s, and my Speedlines.

I am pretty sure you need a T series SIDO number , so if you get on well with the parts guy at your dealer, ask him.

Im pretty sure they are from the TE50 wheels.

I looked at getting these from Ford for my ROH Azzurros (17 x 8)- they wanted $75 per wheel cap, as they are metal, not plastic and have the Tickford wings on them - I ended up with plastic Ford logo ones for about $50 for 4!

why dont you just get a sticker made up from a local sign writing place and it will cost u about $5 each and u can have whatever u want on the caps...

If u go to a good sign writer they will make them up and they look sik...

I have XR on mine and it looks sweeeet..

Thanks for all your replies, I appreciate it.

Mick Webb at SVO has solved the problem for me. I purchased the wheels through him. They came direct from the importer with the original wheel caps that were very ricey.

I've been away for the past week and when I got home Mick had sent SVO stickers to replace the originals. I've put these on and they look sweet.

I'm not 100% sure if "slasher" is their proper name. Everybody seems to recognise them as such though.
