Im worried that we wont be able to buy any more merchandise for our Tickford cars, this is a real blow, as i thought tickford was a good brand and a good brand to keep on the fleet. Stuff FPV, its just a HSV copy idea which isnt going to win any points from me.

My mate got it from Pipeworks in melbourne, but that was just recently burnt to the ground by some goons.

Tickford was never suposed to be a HSV rival, it was never marketed as such.
FPV however will be seen as the HSV equivalent, and regardless if they copied the idea, if they manage to promote FPV as successfully as HSV, dont you want to be on the winning teams side?

Oh, that's interesting ... have you been down to your local (former) T-series dealer and checked out their pricing schedule?
They price all T-series cars dollar for dollar against (what they see as) the equivalent HSV model/s.
So, if it wasn't "marketed" as such that is only because Ford's\Tickford's marketing has been pathetically below par for so long.
This last fact has been admitted publicly in as many words by David Flint himself in these very foriums.
I just hope that, with the great new product Ford have, they will do it justice with some meaningful and effective marketing or we may see a repeat of AU - a brilliant design ahead of it's time, let down by poor marketing and a general lack of agression in the advertising department.
