1987 LTD Taillights (aka ZL Fairlane). how do i take the colour plastic/glass shit off the black plastic bit with the bulbs screwed into them without breaking them? can it be done? i dont really wanna experiment and break them! anyone done this to there fairlane b4?

no there glued
youhave to break them you might be lucky if youve got a few spare sets but tinting your tail lights is a crappy idea as all it does is make them harder to see in shitty weather

Take your time and use a sharp knife.

After you've done the tinting, then glue back together. With these the police may hassle you!!

just thinking what if i melt the glue? will a hairdrier do it or wot?

no its not that type of glue it melts the plastic together not just sticking them together the a stanley knife would be your best bet andtheres fat chance that you will be able to seperate the two peices cleanly without breaking/cracking one of them

spray them with some night shades. Its a tranparent paint. I did my xd tail lights a few years ago and they come up really well. You spray directly onto the outside of the light just make sure its super clean.

yeh those ones are tinted from the factory
