Hi everyone,

Just a question. My AU2 Fairlane has a tow pack. Does anyone know if a transmission cooler would have been fitted as well?

Im pretty sure transmission coolers were standard on all AU's. Or was that AU2 onwards?

afiak the cooler was fitted to all tow packs,, iwould be upgrade it up to a larger aftermarket jobbie though

My mates getting a cooler kit from an AU put on his EF xr8. See how it goes.

If it's the 1200/1600kg tow pack, then no trans colloer would have been fitted (unless requested by the original owner). The trans lines do go through the radiator, but it is a feeble attempt at an all in one trans oil cooler/radiator. If it has the 2300kg tow pack, then more than likely a cooler is fitted, but not necessarily - just look behind the grille. There should be two coolers: one is the AC condensor, the other would be an auto trans cooler.
