I have an AuII falcon 1 tonne ute 6cyl with 2.3 tonne factory tow pack.
I recently bought a 1 tonne horse float . The ute is pulling easily empty or when loaded with 2 horses. And generally the temp gauge does not move empty or loaded but is raising to between the A and the L on normal when going up one particular hill. I have a friend who has an Au also and is towing a one tonne cravan and has same problem on exact same hill and he has a brand new radiator in his. Is any one else having this problem or have any suggetions on how it may be fixed.

G'day,
i reckon your towing in 4th(overdrive) ....i.e D on the selector. Lock the trans out of 4th (pull it back an extra notch) and make sure you have power mode selected, so the transmission changes earlier and does not get laboured.

Hi thanks for your reply. I always tow with it in third though i don't have a trans cooler. So might look into that

IT will have a small one.....bigger is always better :)
