i just wanted some help i want to put a maniual in my fairlane but at the same time is it worth puting a 4.0lt from somthing like an Eb or an ef-el do thay go much better them my mpfi-3.9

Yeah, they go alot better... spesh the EF/L... Some guys here have put just the EF/L intake manifold on their 3.9L and have gained excellent results. All depends on the current state of yer 3.9L - If its worn then throw in a 4.0L and gearbox as a whole...

I put an ED 4.0 into my 1988 NA, it goes a lot better... The 5 speed conversion id imagine would be as easy as changing it in an EA because the length isnt different at that end of the car.
