Great site thanks guys, Have a 96 EL having trouble fault findind the cause for a vibration when the fan / heater or AC is on 3 or boost.???????
The vibration is coming from the engine and Im at a loss to the cause
ANY HELP WOULD BE MUCHIOUS GROUSIOUS.im leaning towards the main bearing in the compressor or the water pump the compressor seams to kick in regardless if the ac button is not depressed but only on 3 or boost for fan or heater and will engage of course when the ac button is depressed.
Also looked for a vacum leak as some controls ar set up but all good. Its looking like one or the other but now dont know how to tell for sure the ac works cold and fine and the water pump is a water pump???????????
Can the main bearing on the compressor be replaced?????????Because a new one is F#$@%^ pricey. Thanks

Hmmm try a long screw driver on pump and hold to ear while engine is runing, you should here noises if they are...
