what sort of cam would you recommend for around 140rwkw's? i know there is jim mock motorsport but what other options is there? i.e crow cams? wade cams?

Qwikcorty got that mark with a wade 1004@112 regrind, That's with comp spec pacemaker ph4480s and 2.5" exhaust.

I would say a wade 1004 would get you there as long as everything else is working together

A wade 1521a will definately get you there.

Crow Stage 3 seems to be capable of 150rwkw (with other mods)

Surecams have a few grinds that will hit that mark as well.

i've never had my car dynoed. but i don't think it would be anywhere close to 140rwkw. i was actually asking this for a friend of mine, but i'm interested as well.

my car i think is just quicker then my friends stock vt commodore 6cyl auto. and goes around the same as my another friends el xr6 manual with extractors and exhaust. maybe quicker though i'm still learning how to drive manual :-p

got any info on the wade 1521a cam? i havn't heard of it. bigger then the 1004 cam i'm guessing?

also my engine is probably a bit tired.. its up to the 260 000km mark!

the wade 1521 cam required uprated valve springs from what i remember.
Thanatos got around 150 with a 1004 110 + the usual exhaust/intake/extractors etc etc with the ol' Stock EA head

hmm i'm liking the sound of the 1521 cam. is there much difference in power between the 1004 110, 112, 114 ? anyone know?

In my gallery ther is a dyno of a 1004-110 and 1521a and chiptorque.

Have to note thought that the computer was stuffed when these were taken. The comparison of the cams should still be valid.

Hi !I was getting 150 rwkws with a dev 4 cam not dialled in and a blocked fuel filter. My car is an AU .I know they cost a few bucks but I did not need new valve springs either ...So even though every one talks about dialling a cam in I think the thing will work ok just by sticking it in...You can see my dyno of old engine in gallery
On the same note ...alot of guys believed that I could get more out of it by dialling in...
