hi
I have a el xr6.
the onley thing ive done to it is put a rpm clutch in it.
I wanna do up a car and I am un sure what i should do.
a lot of people say dont go looking in fords for big power,
but i love me fords, but is it worth doing up a 6?
should i go to an 8 or go 4 an older or newer car?
nispro said they should be able to get at least 700 hp (with a tubo engine rebuild different computer and the rest of it) for about 26 grand but thats a lota money is it worth it? i dont know.
can any one help me?

Jeezez you do like big horsepower - I s'pose you could get that from your 4.0 litre if you spent $26,000 but what reliability are you going to have? Realistically you might achieve 400 horsepower at the flywheel and still have driveability/reliability - I would quess you'd have to spend upwards of $10,000.

BTW - if you have the money go for it - you will get immense pleasure from a turbo 6 cyl.

It would easily cost you more to build up a windsor to 700Hp... Or any Jap 4 for that matter. Only better 'bang for buck' engines would be an RB26DETT(GTR) 2JZGTE(Supra) or a 20B Triple Rotor Turbo

But the question is how much power do you want?

maybe i might go for the jim mock thing for now
