Ive just gotten rid of my magnecor leads in favour of a set of ACCEL 8.8 300+ Racing leads & have found surprisingly that the car has somewhat changed its nature...
It idles soooooo smooth, Sounds crispy as & funnily enuff has shi*loads more pick up than it ever had before. Whilst abit expensive I'd recommend these leads to anyone looking to upgrade from their current set.... P.S. Stock leads are CRAP!!!!!!!

I purchased a set of SVO 8mm years ago for my ED direct from the states and cost only $100.00 Aus. I would not expect that they would be much more at the exchange rate the way it is.
I also purchased an aftermarket PIP module at the fraction of the cost of a factory one which is recallibrated with more dwell time plus a high output coil which bolted straight on. And not to mention a set of splitfire spark plugs.
All in all this increased the performance of my car rather noticeably.

Stock ones are indeed rubbish. I have driven both a stock Fairlane V8 (current model) and my own XR8, both with Premium Sound and when you use more than half throttle the amount of ignition noise in the radio is amazing.
