What oil is eveyone using?

I have a EF-11 6cyl

synthetic or mineral?

All 3 cars - Valvoline Premium XLD and change oil and filter every three months or 5,000km. Mobil 1 in the lawnmower and change the oil once a year.

Hee, I don't love my lawnmower that much, whatever I drain out of the cars goes into my lawnmower, as for the cars, Castrol Magnatec in all of them.

Hi Guys, I am new to Fords but recently bought a 2001 au2 vct xr6 ute and am not happy with what the Ford people say about oil changes every 15000 km, I am more used to doing them every 5000 (inc filter) in my Nissan utes, but they stress to me that 15000 is what it should be else I'm throwing money away, comments please!

Was using Penziol full synth now using Motul 6100 never had so much oil pressure

I use Shell Helix PLUS in my IL6 EL. Change it every 5000kms too.

Oil changes depend on the amount of oil in the sump.
The newer falcons have much larger sumps for more oil hence the longer service intervals.
If you drive your car hard then change every 5000 (or if you drive in a dusty environment)
other wise if you putter then go with the 15k service.
BTW I use magnatec. It's an excellent oil but I wouldn't use it on a brand new car.
