If your relying on hand-me-down parts to get it through rego I don't think you should be borrowing money to do it up! Not unless your financial circumstances have changed.

Main advantage with superchargers is the fact that you can utilise some of your go fast stuff already, such as extractors and exhaust.
Turbo has a lot of hidden chargers, plus you need to basically design a whole new exhaust system. As well as the added fact that CAPA kits come with an engineers certificate, while a DIY turbo kit will need a certificate to be roadworthy.
