i am lookin to get a new exhuaast for my 88 xf falcon injected it already has extractors and i am putting it into a really good exhuast shop in about 1 - 2 weeks

i have 300 - 350 dollars to spend on it.

i am lookin for a nice loud chunky noise more like an 8 than a 4.

the engine wont be stock for long so i dont want to be buyin another one in about 2 months. i am expecting at least 180 RWHP out of the engine and box that is goin in.

what sizes and what muffler brands or sizes are the best?

also i want to put the AU XR8 mags oon the xf will they fit or what do i have to do to make them fit?

2.5 mandrel bent would be sufficient for your power needs (both now and later)

you need the AU II XR8 wheels that are made for Pre-AU cars.
I have a set of my car, a lot of tyre places seem to have them.
REAL AU XR8 wheels won't fit ur car :)

Although this may be true. You can get extremely close to the sound of an eight with a straight six.

One example I can think of was a 250 precrossflow cortina, with pacemakers, holley 500, lumpy cam, 2 and 1/2 inch exhaust into a 3 inch dump pipe.

If I had not known what the engine was I would have thought it was an eight for sure.

nah i mean i want a chunky noise not a muffled together noise like what almost every 4 has more of a rumble but not as much of an 8

what muffler would you run in a 2.5 inch mandrel bent dystem and how much would this cost on average

i'd go a 2.5 inch mandrel system with a single straight through muffler

as for the wheels au xr8 wheels do fit, they make them aftermarket to suit the pre-AU offset
