Lowering my EF Falcon and putting some big shoes onto it.... I bought 17 inch Tickford AU2 wheels on 45 profile directional rubber for less than 1800 bucks...this was about a month ago, best thing I ever did. Always have people come up and ask me about it, I get a kick out watching people perve on my car as they walk by.
Benefits - well, the car handles alot better due to the firmer springs and the smaller profile rubber... also being wider and a better design, the new tires grip very well. The car doesn't float around like it did on the old 15's, and there are no hubcaps to fall off either!
Other good mods were the fog lights (less than 50 bucks and an hour to install them), dba discs and bendix advance pads (around 450 hundred bucks by the time you include split pins, HTB grease, hubseals and all that, plus an afternoon and a case of beer to install them).
Cheers!

How much boost?
Hard to say... i'ld probably go with wheels and lowering job aswell. but.... to be different from Zantetsuken's response ill say...
BMW dark green (with extra amounts of pearl and black) full respray for my EF Fairmont! I Love it! Its like a new car! Took almost 2 weeks and cost almost $4grand. Looks tops in the sun.
Hmmm.. well I gotta say that the T5 was the best price/result modification by far.
Cost me around $100 for everything installed, knocked a second or tow off my 0-100 time, gave the car some decent tyre turning ability, and made the car a joy to drive.... awww.... I thing i'm gonna cry.
On the other hand, all this talk about wheels has got me wanting some EL GT's :(
Take care all.

The best mod, that's easy.
Flipping over the aircleaner lid on my old XC V8 to hear that Carter Thermoquad roar!:s6:
Nah, getting my EF Ghia lowered was the best thing I done, made the car look and handle better ten fold.
Flipping the aircleaner lid was cheaper though.:oo1:
Having the suspension lowered. The car just handles and looks so much better than it did before. The rest of the mods have been contained to inside the car with stuff like the stereo.
Installing slotted rotors, ultimate pads, and DOT 4 fluid.
This cost me 500 bucks and the HUGE improvment it made blew me away. Increased diameter front sway bar was also good bang 4 buck mod.
Most fun was installin a minispool, just cant get enuff of that sideways drifitin feeling!

Well, I would have to say it would be putting MPFI on my CFI EA and a EF manafold on it, damn it will actually turn the tires now :D
For the mpfi and all that i think it cost me around 200 for the lot,
but other then that i've just got all the bars colour coded and thicker S pack moulds colour coded as well.
It's lowered and running 16" rims. I think as a package its pritty nice.
