Basically what MPFI is is multi point fuel injection. It means that there is 1 fuel injector for each of the 6 cylinders, hence the name multipoint. CFI is central fuel injection, which means there are 2 central fuel injectors for all of the 6 cylinders.

MPFI gives around 19 kilowatts over CFI. It is also more fuel efficient, and engine mods are easier and more effective when when you have MPFI.

CFI engines were phased out with the EB series 2.

well herrod can supply a cam for CFi but the end result will be less power and torque than a standard MPFI,
the Cfi ECU cant be chipped ( yet ), cams are rare etc etc
Lets go find that Hotdog tree I planted

Lowered EF Futura
Black Steelies ( too cheap to buy proper mags )

I guess you would have to drive each engine back to back to fully understand. I have CFI and in the near future it will become MPI because of the points mentioned already by Alex.

The Multipoint is also quite a bit smoother in my opinion. I can't wait for mine to be done.
