Where to get a good wheel alignment

Posted the following in the Wheels/Tyres section but putting it here as well

Hi

Im gettiung frustrated with all the crap i get told when i visit my local Bridgestone that i have been using since day 1

1 person tells me that my camber is at the max and will need to be replaced with aftermarket kits and another tells me that they are fine and can be shimmed out more, i agree with the 2nd opinion as you can still see 2- 3 cm of visable thread inside the engine bay

Does anyone know a reputable wheel alignment specialist in adelaide - Price dosent bother me nor does travel as long as they are very good

Re: Where to get a good wheel alignment

I don't know about Adelaide but I'd go to suspention specialist first, before ANY tyre company...Pedders etc...Addresses check here...http://www.pedders.com.au/storefinde...le=SA&state=SA
Yes they[ tyre companies] tend to suggest you need more work than you need...

Re: Where to get a good wheel alignment

My mechanic Johnno has always recommended South Glenelg Auto Centre 240 Brighton Road Somerton Park. I go there for wheel alignments because they don't piss you around. And Johnno prefers their equipment. They are independent and don't have to tow the corporate line like Beaurepaires, Bob Jane, Bridgestone etc. Their price is about $35-$40. I like their work and it shows in my perfectly even tyre wear.

Re: Where to get a good wheel alignment

I have allways had a bit of a funny thing about pedders- Im not sure why though, I might give them a go now though as i know the manager at pt adelaide from when i used to get good service from my bridgestone ( he used to spend 2 hours on my alignment for only $40)
