Oil Pressure sender

Its located on the Right side of the engine, just above and forward from the Oil Filter.

Re: Oil Pressure sender

umm its a couple inches in diameter at the base, narrows out as it sticks out and undoes with a large socket bit or spanner and has a wire running from it.

IF you...

If you get above your inlet manifold in look between 3-4 runner about dizzy cap height you will find if your car has a gauge then it will have a sender which has a piece of steel 30mm long which a 13mm spanna will fit then goes to a 40-45mm metal cylinder with a single wire attached to it this is the sender. If it has not gauge just a light in the same spot a smaller metal cylinder around 25mm in diameter will be in its place,at the base will be a socket attachment.A special oil pressure switch socket is needed to remove the switch unless of course you can swing a shifter or have a spanna big enough to undo it I don't think so.It could be possible that the wire is loose check this first and see if it improves it.Other wise you might need to see a tec to short out your woes.Or worse still theres no oil in your engine to get pressure in the first place.Hope not.
