I am interested in the history of these models and how they came to be,if they were based on american models and adapted for Australia? does anyone know names of people that designed them in Australia?, Thanks.

Jack Telnack, Brian Rossi and Allan Jackson were the main XA/ZF design team. They were all-Aussie designs, although still based on the basic Yank Falcon floorpan, and taking design cues from US models.
