Any recommendations on a an XE service/repair manual????

Ive seen about 3 different types at repco and super cheap, not sure which is the better one?

i have 2 for my xd to cross reference them on how they are both wrong..

They are gregorys and the ford service manual

Get gregorys or just buy the thickest one with the prettyest pictures

I have a Max Ellery that covers XD/XE/XF with all motors (3.3, 4.1, EFI, 4.9, 5.8), its not too bad. They cost a bit though (abot $50). I also bought a Gregories off eBay for less than $10, it only covers XE 6cyl (non EFI). It has a bit more XE specific information but isn't as good as the Max Ellery for info (i.e. the Gregories keeps telling you to pull the engine to do anything to the motor, but the Max Ellery tells you how to get around it).

So yeah, buy two and cross-reference them. And if you can't find something then do a search or post something on this site, should get you out of trouble.

They all have their problems.

I have a Max Ellery one but used to have the gregorys. I don't like the vagueness of the Max Ellery manual sometimes and the poor quality pictures can be a bit annoying, but the fact it covers so many different cars is a huge bonus.
