I am looking for info from people who have put an XF front on an XD or XE.
How much of the front end needs to be replaced beyond bonnet, fenders, facia stuff, lights etc.
Any structural stuff?? Any welding required to the front asm??

The whole XF exterior and interior will bolt straight up onto the XD - I doubt it would be too tough a job just time consuming to get everything looking factory.

Saw one in getting around - V8 manual - the only thing which gave it away was the drop tank and leaf springs on the back - looked absolutly brilliant in dark metalic grey with full XF Ghia grey interior.

if you have a donner car it easy or if your getting it of a wreck
front end needs a some of the brackets that hold the brackets
under and on the sides of the headlights tail lights all you need is
a jig saw the open the holes at the back of the lights .
all the other panels bolt on .

if you have a welder could spot the brackets on for lights
front radiator panel where xd grill can be left xf bonnet will
close and catch ok.

my xd almost made it into a xf had tailights, interior ,doors ,mirrors,exsept 351
then i bought a xf then wrecked the xd r.i.p.1993-2002

Its mainly the brackets and stuff I was concerned about.
Nothing worse than starting to put stuff together to find you missing something crucial.
I was just going to start picking up bits as I found them. A fender here a bumper there etc... Theres no rush to do it.

i managed to fit a eb gt bumper on my xf just to be different.
