Hi,
I am about to drop a 302 clevo into my xf ute. As the ute has that little box in the passenger side footwell, and leads that run to the distributor etc, will it have any effect on the electrics when the V8 goes in as there will be nothing to plug it into?. in other words, if i disregard the connectors in the engine bay that went to the dizzie etc, will the engine/car still be able to run.

Also there is a black box under the wiperbottle on the left side. can this disappear?

and finally, has anyone got any pics of a cleveland 302 with power and air attached.

The black box is your carbon canister and is required by the EPA. If you dont hook it up you wont be getting an engineers cert, roady, etc.

Unless the engine is going to be LPG only, then you can rip everything that remotely looks like pollution control off it.

thanks... I have a complete gas kit reeady to go, just need the gas mixture thingy which sits on the intake manifold..
