Alright, seeing as though I went and ordered and bought an XH snorkel for my NA's EBII 4.0lt engine. The XH snorkel is the one that does fit on the EA-ED air boxes. It is NOT the XG!

The Ford Part # is: EHC9C675-A

Catalogue: 278 - Section: 96.05 AIRCLEANER - 6cyl - XH - Part 13.

maddd. is there any diffrence in power? do u have to get the whole box. is it easy to install. do u have to drill anyholes ?

and i just got a EA one and modified it with that big round thing removed. nuts. what does the big round thing do?

I havent driven it with the K&N Filter and the XH snorkel yet, but from what i have heard from others it is very good. I will tell you later on. The old snorkel is just held in by clips, just push them out and the snorkel comes off, and then get the new snorkel n push it in. no screws needed. and that massive round thing is a noise inhibitor.

But when i put it on, i could feel it suck very hard through the mouth of the snorkel, so its all good.

how much would a EA box cost. can ya buy the lid and the pipe bit seprate? mighty ea did u just replcxae the lid and pipe part.

I got it cheap because i have a mate in spare parts. I swapped it with a part I already had (EL Tickford snorkel), i was going to fiddle with it but gave up and went with the simplicity of the XH one. But yeah its around the $30 mark generally

I just went to a wreckers, picked up an EBII/ED air cleaner lid and snorkel for $20, then i took the snorkel off (only clipped in) and put on the XH snorkel (pushes n clips on). Simple as that fellas. And the EBII/ED lid will fit on your EA boxes
