i just have a few questions about the 5-speed box from the xr8 - can anyone tell me what the boxes are/were, what kind of power they can handle and what kind of price they go for.

i'm looking at the possibility of putting one behind a 351 cleveland. thanks.

The most torque the T5 can reliably handle is 420-430Nm, although I have heard of a few guys in the US with Supercharged Mustangs pushing 450Hp with still the stock 5 speed. Its only if you add slicks and run it down the 1/4 youll start to have serious problem I think. If you have some dosh to throw around then get a Tremec TKO, they can handle 700Hp from memory.

If your going to go the T5 route make sure you get the V8 version, as the 6cyl one isnt as strong.
