Hey Guys.

I Just brought a 1992 EB XR8 and it's a damn good car, in perfect condition. It's done 150,000km since new, and seem's to be very well cared for.

I have noticed however, that there is a very very slight ticking. you cant hear it unless your window's are down. The motor is very very quiet, and when you idle, or put your foot down (or do anything) theres this slight ticking, that speeds up when I accelerate.

The ford dealer told me it is the injector's, and its so quiet, I believe it's the injector's to, but I just wanted a second opinion. Wondering if the injector's in the 1992 XR8 motor's are loud enough to be heard a little bit when driving, and idle and all of that.

yeh i had the same problem...

i have a ford ea and the injectors used to tick loud as anything in the mornings some times even when the engine had been running
i took it into a service place and they told me they had just about had it...so i had reco ones put in...runs alot better now...
+ no ticking
