XT upgrades
G'day
I've recently bought an XT falcon 500 as a daily driver while I'm working on my project (a 302 XE), and it's completely original in the way of 221 engine, 3 speed column shift, 4 wheel drum not power assisted, rubber floor mats, bench seat, etc
I was wondering what parts from what models fit the XT in the way of brakes, suspension, steering boxes (power steering), bucket seats, and possibly air-con.
What I do have is almost a complete XD wagon (minus the body) stored in parts around the shed, and I don't know what can be used, or modified to fit relatively easily, or can't be used at all
I was also thinking of getting a wrecked XR-XY falcon or ZA-ZD fairlane for upgrade bits
I'd also like to replace the 221 with a 250 crossflow I have from the XE and a 4 speed borgwarner box, and I was wondering how this would go in terms of power in an XT which weighs just under 1300kg, and what can be done to a 250 (including an EFI setup as an idea) to get the most power without using excessive fuel?
