2 door TC/TD cortina

Has anyone seen the 2 door cortina in unique cars for sale. I have never seen one before in my life. Would it be factory ?? It's on the bottom right hand corner of the page somewhere around the back of the magazine ( sorry guys but I don't know the page number ). Its blue with a 2 litre and 4 speed. Asking around $12000. I think it looks sweet.

Cheers Rob

I tend to agree with what you are saying. But an interesting car none the less. I have never seen one in my life. I assume the car would be an import then ?? or were they sold in Australia.

Cheers Rob

he's not dreaming. it's alot of money but worth every cent if it's that good.

it's a mk3 which is our tc and td(mk3 series 2). the mk4's were our te. the mk3's came out in 1300, 1600 and 2000 - and the south africans brought em out with a 2.8 or 3.0L v6. u could get any model and size engine in a gt, as gt was mainly enhancements to trim, styling and a few tweaks to the driveline. but not all 2dr's are gt's. in thier day a 2dr was cheaper to buy than a 4dr sedan. so rumour has it, there is only approximately a dozen or so of these cars in australia that are known of.

click on the link in my signature and there are photos of mine and if u wanna see a real good one http://www.cortinamclaren2dr.mk3cortina.com/index.html

Thumbs up Re: 2 door TC/TD cortina

i'm have one. it's a 2 door mk3 gt. it's a 4 cylinder model.
i bought a 550hp sb chevy/nitrous + th350 full manual.
i think i'd better go for a full chassis than a back half cause the engine wo n't fit. and if it does it's too much weight infront of the tyres. i need some pics of chassis buildups for cortinas. tube preferably. well done for your very informative forum.
