can any 1 help me

Hey i own a TF 2ltr 4sp cortina wagon. i am looking for some suggestions to make it go a bit harder. ideally i would like to swap the motor but its a fair hasttle for a begginer. it has a sports exhaust 2inch all the way throu any other suggestions thanx. cheers man

The best and cheapest way to get it up, is to find a "cross-flow" head! (carb on one side, exhaust on the other) from the salvage yard. Have it ported, polished, and flowed, and if you can find some 1.9 and 1.6 British Leyland valves, you will get another 40 HP out of it. The heads were installed on many Lotus's, English Fords, early TVR's (60-69), and if you can find a good salvage guy he can help with his books. Good luck!
