hi i just bought a steering wheel for my cortina and the boss kit doesnt go all the way down anmd the steering rod is to big any tips on making it shorter thanks

Yeah Ghia's have a longer steering column so are supposed to have a flat wheel and the right type of boss. Best way to do it is get the right wheel and boss otherwise you have to get the whole steering column out of a GL or L medel and change it over.

It is a pain to change because the ignition barrel etc goes with it. You have to grind off the rivets to remove the barell etc. Easier to get the right wheel and boss.
