Dam Cortina, Handells like crap!

Hi
As some of you may have read in a prevoius thread, a Mate of mine has just bought a TE Cortina Wagon. It goes pretty hard but handels like CRAP!! I knew they had a rep for bad handeling but there worse than i remember!

Whats the best way to improve the handeling on these things?

on my old te 4.1 it had 13' wheels, i think that was one big problem so i sourced some saab 15' steelies and better tyres and that helped heaps.
it would remove most of that floatly feel u get when the tyres are more like ballons!
with the 4.1 the 13' wheels were good for burnouts, thats about it though .

Dennis Jensen did a fair bit with Cortina handling, he posts on the aus.cars newsgroup mostly and has previously detailed his suspension mods, try searching for Cortina, Dennis, aus.cars in dejanews.com and your bound to find the info.

Lower springs 1 1/2 coils all round, fit 225x14 on rear an 205x14 on front, ajust play in steering rack and it should be a bit better
