Re: Diff Info

Just use the gears out of the Skyline/Pintara 3.9-4.11. You'll be looking around $250+ for a complete diff from the wreckers. You'll find your 25 spline axles will be a weak link.

Re: Diff Info

just use the standard diff as you'll save hp and weight. Get a 4 pin LSD from a Falcon and use 28 spline MOSER axles. Or make it "unbreakable" and use 31 spline axles and fullspool. I'm looking into making a diff housing brace for the Borg Warner just incase the 302 ever makes the hp I want. Or mini tub the corty and fit the 9". Its not hard, I did mine start to finish in one day.

A few pics before, during and after mini tubbing 2nd and 3rd should be around the other way

Re: Diff Info

yep crown and pinion fit straight in. Just the lsd or what ever fitted wont fit because their 28 spline and the cortinas are 25.

Re: Diff Info

If the LSD is fitted in your Cortina now then you can use it . If it's an LSD out of the skyline then no, only if you get some 28 spline axles. Yes I got custom MOSER billets($1150inc GST) made to match the standard size as I wasn't going to shorten the diff. I just made a custom set of 8" wheels to fit. So from side on they don't look any different then a set of 6's. Not a pain in the butt mate. You can only learn by asking questions.
Cheers Brett

cool Re: Diff Info

Hey Boosted

Guess this is what this forum's all about we come here when we need info...just so you know I am still in the process of deciding what diff to get so I am about 2-3 months off asking the same question myself...thanks for your input and questions.

TD302 for some reason the attached thumbnails aren't coming up on my lappy as I am real interested in having a look, has it got something to do with a setting some where?

Cheers
