g'day guys.........have a tc cortrina with a rover v8.....what i'm after is info...i want to change to five stud rims..is there a bolt on conversion getting around.if not whats the easiest way?

There are a few ways you can go. The most comon a atm is the Hopper Stopper kit. Also the most expensive!!
I have used XB disc's with hub modification (machine off some of the hub) with HQ calipers with the CRS kit. I don't have the exact spec's on me but if you need more info let me know, and either I or others can help.

I have seen/heard of some more and I am sure that you will get more posts of other set-ups.

What does the Rover engine go like? also handling?

Thanks for the info...the rover motor is a great way to go.....lots of stuff around to get them moving..........stroke them to 5ltr......prob the best part is handling.....weight is less (or about the same) as a 2ltr motor
can bolt P76 4 speed straight up.......also use same tailshaft and diff..pretty easy conversion
things like clutch cables etc stay the same
also P76 and buick parts bolt straight on (well some anyways)

Hi Guys,i Have 5 Stud Conversion On My Tf Cortina Using Xy Rotors And Hq Calipers.rotors Need To Be Split And Machine 8mm Off The Face And Refit With New Studs.the Caliper Adapter Kit Came From Castlemaine Rod Shop,a Piece Of 8 Mm Flat Bots To Original Bolt Hole And The To Hq Calipers.still Have Standard Diff But Welded Centre And Had The Axels Filled And Redrilled To Suit 5 Stud (place In Adelaide)hope This Help You All.

thanks wingy....good to see another south aussie cortina driver..thinks i'll go the whole way now and go to 4 wheel disk...seems most do the front end as you have

hope u got a lot of axels made, because with decent power and a locker, them 25 spline axels wont last long, ive killed 3 sets with only 180rwkw

Ring DBA and get blank front rotors and drill them to Falcon or Commorore 5 stud PCD. Make sure there is enough meat for the larger PCD.
Use the Commy or shorten the Falcon rear 5 stud axles.
Talk to the Speedway guys. They like to muck around on the cheap.

iam going an alternate route with front brakes on my te cortina,
instead i am using series 8 rx7 4 spot calipers and rotors mated to the cortina stub axles, these are decent size 300mm. in the rear i am running a shortend 9" with xf falcon rear rotors (size 286mm) this combo should pull the corty up.
