Fs: Ford Tc Cortina Wagon!!!

The time has come for me to sell my beloved Ford TC Cortina! It is a 2lt with a sweet shifting four speed manual and lovely clutch, which equates to good fuel economy and a bit of go! The car has been passed down from friends for many years, and then restored to roadworthy condition last year!

The following things have been replaced / fixed in the last year:

New Electrics!
Replaced steering rack!
New Tailgate springs!
New Rear Slave Cylinders!
New Tie Rod ends!
New Ball Joints!
New Polyurethane bushes in front and rear!
Sill of left hand side replaced and TIG Welded!
Rear Sill Replaced and TIG Welded!
Self Restraining seatbelts in the front!
Driver’s seat replaced (identical)!
Pedders Comfort shock absorbers installed!
New Battery!

The car also comes with a Sterling tape and radio deck, with Pioneer 6” two way speakers in the front and cut outs for speakers in the rear! Front tyres are good, with 65% wear left!

As you can see the car has had some extensive work done on it to maintain it in good condition! It had the valve stem seals replaced earlier this year and doesn't blow smoke! This car would be perfect for a student, someone who needs the room of a wagon or someone who wants a "classic" looking car!

Very little is needed for a roadworthy: Exhaust has a leak along a straight section of pipe…have temporally replaced with a larger section of pipe I had handy, but ideally needs the correct size for a uniform fit (only about $15 of parts). The rear tyres are worn out and will need replacing, but as these are 13” they are cheap to replace. The engine needs looking at for tuning (running a little advanced) but runs brilliantly! Passenger front seat has a few rips but, can be resolved with seat covers! The only rust is in the roof gutters, witch is only surface and not deep anyway.

I am also throwing in 5 Original Cortina 13” Alloys off a TD. These are in good condition and, with a good clean will come up a treat as you can see from the fully cleaned alloy, and the half cleaned alloy!

This car has been driven daily and has proved extremely reliable as well as getting many comments about how straight it is! The only reason I am selling it is that I have acquired another car and cannot afford to keep two on the road!

I am asking $300 for it, which I feel is reasonable as it is a very cheap car to run, after all the work I have put into it!

The car has rego till early September so feel free to contact me and arrange for a test drive in Melbourne. Thanks for looking and feel free to PM me with any questions!

thanks guys
Damo
