how to tell if your corty was a 4 or 6

can anyone tell me is there any way to check from comp plates if my te corty was a 4 or 6 origanally.is there a internet site to check historys of vehicles

Check the radiator support panel for the E/N. I think all X/Flow 6's started with JG as the engine number and the 4's started with CK or CG.

4 cyl had exhaust on the passengers side and 6cyl on the drivers. there will be original spot welded brackets to see which one it was unless changed. cheers
