Re: hub caps; your choice!

Personally i would say the K-marts look better,
Yes the originals make it look like a good example of a stocky. But the plastics (as hard as it is to say) give it a bit of 'flair' .......

nop only 4 stud mate. I've got two of each 4's front a 5's rear. Only cause I brought billet axles and didn't want them in 4 stud.

Nah i'm running Holden stud rears as the wheels look the same as the SAAB front wheels I have. And I want to design a brake conversion with Holden 5 stud front so I can use the 15*4" new Monaro spare wheels.

Thanks for the compliment. The sleeper thing is a good idea. But I am young so I cant help myself and my natural desire to create a sleek street machine, or whatever you want to call it. You know what I mean, big wheels, lowered, etc, etc.

I might also just drive this car, and keeping it stock until I get off my p's then buy an already done up 302w tc then turbo that. Or do what I really want to do and get a mk3 coupe + 302 turbo.....mmmmmmmmm. Depends on the cash flow of course.

I havent had the chance to get the pics of the blackened wheels up, but it will happen soon.

Re: hub caps; your choice!

I personally dont mind the K-mart ones. I thought they would be chromed and rolled my eyes, but when i saw them i was kinda pleasantly surprised.

My god man chromed mags are bad enough (sorry if ya got em, but I dont like em one bit), let alone chromed hubcaps! Thats something I could just never do.

Im glad you think the k-marts are ok. The painted black wheels have started to get a bit dusty and arnt looking the best. So maybe Ill chuck the hubcaps back on. Or just clean the wheels, not sure yet

The one good thing about not having good "mag" wheels is that I can alternate between the three crap styles whenever I want to for something different.

Re: hub caps; your choice!

Hey Thek

Did you know Porsche rims are the same stud pattern as our humble Cortys...I've been told Mond (dayo) are the same as well

Just food for thought....

Cheers
