just wondering if there is any way ie engine number prefix ? etc of identifying whether a engine is a 3.3 or 4.1 . i picked up a parts car and the owner told me it has a 4.1 in it but it has a 3.3 air cleaner assy so dont know .

the 3.3 engine number prefix is E or G. the 4.1 had J, L, D, N or F as it's prefix.

it could be a 4.1 but with the stocky single barrle carb witch was on the 3.3 as well if so pitch it over your head and get a twin barrle and the mannifold for it from a xd and you will be surprized with the differance

Yeah I got a 2 barrell manifold to suit the cast or alloy head to a 350 Holley. Redline and Cain brand. As new.
