Thought i might post some pics up of my corty, Its a 1978 TE ghia, worked 250, toploader, ran 12.8@106mph. Was going to tub, fit 9inch and bigger wheels but didnt get around to it.
It Will be for sale in a couple of months to make way for my new project......

that's a pretty impressive time, 12.8 what a\have you done to it to get that time? thats the rough goal that i'm lookin at, some where around 12-13 sec pass. any info would be great. cheers. sweet as car by the way!!!

The roll cage is just a bolt in job, came with the car, but was never installed, i just clamped it in using 10mm plate.

The motor has a standard bottom end, balanced, ARP bolts, cement filled block, ported head, YT roller rockers, heavy duty springs with locating shims, crow lifters and push rods,cam (unknown spec), double row timing chain, ICE dizzy, 10.5mm leads, 750dp holly on a redline manifold. Thats about it really made 300hp at the flywheel. Came 2nd in HP heros at the nats 3years ago with close to 220rwhp.

When it ran 12.8 that was with slicks, a shitty BW single rail and a mini spooled 3.9diff (which i snaped after launching hard on the street), so now it just has a standard 2.9 in it, and i chucked the single rail and put a toploader in.

Ahh next project is a 5L LJ 2 door.......

Hows your V8 conversion going Dicast?

russ the conversion is going bloody slow at this stage.engine is ready to drop in but im waiting for a hi energy sump and new flexplate.as soon as they arrive its in.and i cut out the entire boot floor to flat plate and run a fuel cell.now i find out the guy who is going to mini tub it cant do it for 6 weeks.so ive just got the brake upgrade to do while i wait.

Who are you getting to mini tub it?
