I just got my hands on a 351C which i am rebuilding as a 383 stroker. I was thinking of putting it into a TE cortina. How much drama was it getting the car engineered for registration?Any info would be appreciated..

not too sure bob cambell race engines built it in the 80's and they got it all up to rego worthyness so i'm not too sure but i do know that any cortina escort v8 combos are tricky to rego in wa

dunga how did you go with your 5 stud conversion on your te.

if your still sussing it out. i have a 300mm disc brake 5 stud conversion kit for sale
kit is brand new only trial fitted to car for fitment. no fluid has gone through the calipers.
calipers are PBR twin piston, powder coated black. new DBA 300mm rotors, new bearings, new flexable brake lines, new 5 stud hubs and all new brackety.
kit was profesionaly put together by hopper stoppers in victoria.
cost $1350 will sell for $950 plus freight.

you wont get a te enginerred with a 351 now days. due to power to weight ratios
if you get a 302c black block out of a xd xe falcon enginerrs approvial is possible. you need to run standard intake manifold, standard carter carby, and standard factory air cleaner. all pollution gear must be used also (carbon canister) etc.
my advice get a 302 block and put your 351 internals in it no-one will know the difference. good luck. expenicive exercise but the end result is worth it. will put a smile on your face everytime you bury the right foot.
