Polybushing Mk4 'tina

Hi All,

Desperatley trying to fit a Superflex polybush in the lower rear trailing arm of a MK4 Cortina.

Its the larger rear bush.
The bush is huuuuge! I've tried a vice and a heath-robinson bush contraption to squeeze it in, but to no avail.

We took about 2 hours getting the smaller front one in, but the rear is another story!

Any advice or tips gratefully recieved?

Cheers, Jim

It is quite difficult. There is a proper tool to do it.

Maybe if you got a socket or steel tube the same diameter as the outer steel part of the bush and used that to squeeze it in with the vice.

When I redid my TE 3 yr ago, I just pressed the whole thing out and installed the new bush ( Nolathane ) which already comes in the outer sleeve. These bushes you have, Do they not come with the outer metal sleeve?
