TD302 debut @ Willowbank

With the new owner, the old Cortina went for it's debut down the 1/4. First pass with car untouched since leaving my shed went 12.93 @ 106 2nd with filter removed 12.80 @ 106 and third 12.85 @ 105 with filter back on. Hard to see on the vid the front wheel comes off the deck, did on every pass.
Next time he goes out i'll be going to have a tinker, so the times should drop. Only crossing the line at 6200rpm (should be 6700) dropping tyre dia should also help times.

Vid Here

Now i've got the bug to build another one.......

That great to see that you are still in contact with your car even after you have sold it. Solid times too. New owner must be pleased.

Re: TD302 debut @ Willowbank

Yes he was very happy. Seeing my :) face helped that too i think. He's got a set of 245 slicks he wants to try in the future. I hunted around but no one had any jets as i feel the car was running on the rich side (next time i'll bring mine). The mph should be a little higher but that'll change with more track time. But them times for it's first outing and full street trim is great.
I've given him a few ideas to do before the next outing (different grade oil and plug heat range etc) He's good like that, takes all the advice and will use it next time. HMMMM want it back now. Oh well just have to build another one now wont I! Bigger and better.

Hey Brett that is GREAT news!!! Must make u feel good in a way that you built the car, but at the same time depressed that you weren't driving!!
Keep tinkering with the other toys and keep having fun!!
See you in the New Year.
