pulled my 4 stud axles out today and found there pretty much the same as a 5 stud falcon, they go in and spin fine except the plate that bolts to the diff off the axle, should this all work ok if the axle plate is modified?

What you can do is get your 4 stud axles redrilled to 5 stud most diff places in Sydney can do this for you. You can also drill the brake drum as well. There is a bloke by the name of MD Conversions who does this quite regularly for about (from memory) $150+ give or take.

they were XY falcon axles, ratio is 3.50

I had mine welded up and redrilled.. cost me 100. for the 2... Its a 3.7 ratio

g'day i have only got 2.92 and 2.77 gear ratio's will the axles from a xy still fit in ok?? ...
