Hey all just got myself a TE Cortina, 250xflow, t5 manual, ray hall manifold, 350 holly blah blah bit done...Anyways being a P plater i took advantage of the Minispool and snapped an axle 25 xpline....Now am looking at something stronger, any suggestions for my application. I do have 3:55's and mini spool was sort of hoping to keep them but if i have to get rid of them i will do.

try talking to some diff workshops about toyota hi ace axles(hey dont laugh they are almost twice as thick) a friend had some resplined to suit his centre, they also have the same ford 5 stud pattern...alot of speedway guys use them...
all else fails go 9" shortened....

In my old TD I used 31 spline Moser billet axles and Romac maxispool in the Borg Warner housing. Just as strong as a 9" with out all the added weight and drag.. Looking around $1200 for axles and $375 for the spool money well spent.

i had a std 3.7 bw diff with a mini spool in a te cortina,which ran 12.1 @ 110mph with no axle problems. after 2 seasons, it only slightly twisted one which i put back in.
just try another std one and see how it goes.. cheers.. any chance of a photo of your ray hall manifold??

omg that white cortina????? doesnt have a blue pearl of sum kind it does it? battrey is in the boot?? has tickford bages? think it might have had da plates WPNTE6 or sumthing? looks like da one my mate brought ages ago, n im thinking of buying it off him...

is there any difference between the redline/cain/ray hall manifold as they all look very simerlar.
the only difference i can see is the ray hall 3/4 runners are angled a little bit.

i just bought a AU IRS LSD Rear End for it.
just need to fit it.

I run a 4 pinion fairlane diff shortened in a very light Austin , it handles massive abuse with no problems , axles were shortened 60mm each side by resplining and the housing cut to suite , much lighter than a 9" and worth looking at.
