My father-in-law has decided to finally update. He's got a one owner (since new) TE 4L, which is in excellent condition. Excellent paint (metallic fawn), no dents, no rust, bumpers and bumper covers are all straight. It's so original it doesn't even have a radio! It's a 4 speed and has an original 147,000km. It's still used as his daily drive. Always garaged, regularly serviced, reg till May '06 and with a RWC.
Any ideas on what it's worth? He's asked me to advertise it for him but we've hit a snag when it comes to price. He has a figure in mind but I reckon he's dreaming (although I haven't actually said that to him yet). I'll admit it's an excellent example of this type of car...but before I actually tell him he's dreaming (and before I advertise it) can anyone advise on what it's realistically worth.

Re: Te Cortina (grandpa Spec) - What's A Fair Price?
As requested I've got some pics. If anyone is interested or has questions let me know, preferably by email on s.r.prop@ccoz.com but I will try to check posts regularly.
If that TE is a Ghia, they are saying it is worth anywhere between $1000 and $2300, judging by past private sales. Being in fairly good condition, it should be worth more to the $2300 mark, but having low kilometers you could probably get more then that to the right buyer.
