man id stick with the 302....if 250 cid is good then 302cid will be sick with a turbo, and ya dont have to outlay $ for a 250...prices for parts a similar for both so the costs will be close to the same but the h/p and torque will b much better!

Horses for courses. I wouldn't have a spool/mini spool if you paid me :)

Well actually i did have one once, but removed it the next day.

I'm curious. Why would you want a spooled diff anyway? What are the benefits?

Re: your cortina what mods

Racer.. You can't get anything else if you want 31 spline axles in a B/W diff and you don't need to service them like LSD's I'd go a Detroit locker but can't with 31 spline and another benefit is the cost. What do you use for street/strip use a Detroit Locker or LSD???
tagsXF.. I've got a thick wall 3" shaft from Hardy Spicer with the strongest uni's you can get for it, they tell me I wont have any problems with it. Cost for the shaft was $290 inc GST cheaper if you use an old slip joint, I got a new one just incase. The only thing I want to change are the brakes, well fronts at least.
If you don't know what one looks like here it is

Re: your cortina what mods

I've used every type of centre on the track, but settled on a Detriot Locker.

Re: your cortina what mods

I just bought a tc xle, its completely standard atm.

Im not planning any major mods for it, as i bought it to drive around while i do up my xy wagon. Im sourcing a 250-2v n/a for my wagon, so i'll build that up and throw it in the corty so i can have some fun while im building my wagon. I hoping for over 200hp at the flywheel, so that should translate into some fun for me in the corty.

Re: your cortina what mods

I've noticed that you dont see too many wagons, and i love the shape of them too. I think the corty will become a mini-project... on a budget of whatever i have spare at the time LOL.

I cant wait for this 2v engine though, that should send Abe sideways pretty quickly
