hey fella's, look not a major question its just a read a few of u boys know a fair bit bout Nos.... now question is few of me mates said when brian's skyline blew that mist out b4 the first race its his Nos, now a few others said it aint. like i said not a major question but anyone know wtf it was and how its done hahah thanx boys

They could be Purge valves. But probably fake in the movie.
They get all of the nitrous out of the hoses in the system so 'fresh' nitrous is injected into the engine. This make the mixtures more consistant,

yes it was Nos.. You can set up a solenoid to purge the lines and bleed any built up vapour into the atmosphere to give a crisper reaction when you hit the button..
A couple of members here would no doubt have a setup like that... I have seen it a few times at Willowbank.. it looks sweet

The craze now in the States is to set up a lazer or neon light under purge pipe and it exagerates the mist and can be any colour..."REAL" rice though ....
But when seen for first time it looks awsome especially at night....

N2O (Nitrous Oxide) is a non-flamable gas. When injected into the engine the high temperature cylinder gasses break the molicule up releasing an oxygen atom. These then combine with injected fuel to burn. Its chemical supercharging.

my ammature interpretation of this is theres theres 2 parts oxygen in the gas hence the o2, instead of normal air which is not so strong on oxygen ... is this correct?
