20psi Blower?

I have a mate who reckons he can get me a 20psi truck supercharger cheap.
Now, knowing exactly jack shit about superchagers, can I use it on an AU six?
Would I have to use 3.9 rods?
Or is it a waste of time entirely and I should stick to n/a.

Re: 20psi Blower?

Like?
OK pulley, fitting it to the intake setup. I can do that. It's not a turbo, so no exhaust mods?

Id say, being a ex truck supercharger, it would be a 6/71 style supercharger, so you will need to cut a hole in you bonnet unless you get a custom intake manifold that sits the blower way down.

It you want to supercharge it, go centrifugal. There are plenty of kits available.

Re: 20psi Blower?

Don't mind sticking it out the bonnet. Just what sort of thing are we talking about here?
I haven't seen it, he lives a couple hours drive away and knows a mate who has one (yes, I know...)
Basically I'm trying to get power on a budget; so if I get this cheap I'll do that.

Re: 20psi Blower?

Why?

I'm not paying anybody for this you understand...except for the engineer's certificate.

Re: 20psi Blower?

OK so what, AU pump/rail/injectors?
Or probably bigger injectors like those Magna ones I hear about?

Whichever way I go I'll be using an aftermarket computer, possibly an EMS.
