i got a 95 taurus and am planning on racing it. planning on bypassing heater core, a/c, and all other unnecessary parts, also being gutted. The head gasket and tranny both have less than 20k on them. Motor has 91k total on it. My question is... if i can get my hands on a turbo from something like an old thunderbird, can i make it work or should i not bother b/c it would be too hard to install and calibrate?

How good are the rods in those motors?? If they are anything like the 3 ltr they through legs out of bed easy under boost...
If you do turbo it you'd be better off with two turbo's or a bigger single...

so maybe 2 4cyl turbos or do you think i could find a 6cyl turbo around somewhere that would fit? would a turbo off of something other than a ford work?
