4.1 XE ESP TURBO(ait)

Here is some intrensting reading for all u Ford turbo nuts out there

way before the XR6 turbo was born there was a diffrent type of Ford turbo on the road this was the XE ESP turbo with a powerful turbo charged 4.1efi engine with two extra injectors and a split pulse cast iron custom made manifold made by AIT housed an AIT t3 turbo charger which was set for stock 9psi back in 1983 this car was the king of the road with no questions.
All these cars had a factory compliance plate by Ford and u could get parts for ure XE ESP turbo form ure local Ford dealer. And they all came with a service manual for ure AIT turbo kit so u could service and maintain ure car

these are pics of the original Ford brochures Ford used to market the ESP TURBO wen a customer rolled in lookin at a 6cyl efi XE ESP the sales man would show him these brochures

Re: 4.1 XE ESP TURBO(ait)

this last brouchure here shows a little info about the power the 4.1 turbo made compares the 4.1 turbo against a 351ci and normal 4.1 efi engine
PIC
http://www.xfalcon.com/modules/PNphp.../turbo_003.jpg

4.1 turbo had 530Nm and 190Kw straight out of the ford dealer which was very good by 1983 standards. Even these days they can tame an XR6turbo
and leave VL turbos for dead.

FEW PICS OF MY MACHINE xe esp turbo 4.1 and copy of 83 motor magazine
which did a road test on this car in 83
