Hi,
I am new here.. my name is Sheri. I hope I am in the right place... I have been searching for answers and came across this site. After joining, it may be more for turbo cars here? Anyway, if you think you may can help.... my husband and I bought a 2005 F 350 for our business. We needed something tough that would really pull a load. Ever since we've had this truck, when it's under a bind...... the hose going to the (turbo blowoff?) just blows!! The clamp that holds it just can't seem to hold it. We took it yesturday to a mechanic since the Ford dealership just keeps putting new clamps on it instead of trying to figure out what is going on...anyway.. he says something about the turbo isn't dumping so it has to go somewhere? What the heck is going on and how can we get that fixed? Anyone have any clues?

Watch Your Boost Gauge On Your Dash, You Should Be Getting Approx 25to 27psi Max. If The Turbo Is Overboosting This Can Cause Tubes To Blow Off. The Turbo Is A Variable Vane Unit And The Vanes Can Stick Due To Carbon Build Up. There Is Also An Updated Vgt Solenoid Adn A Tsb From Ford To Dissasemble And Decarbon The Vanes. If It Is Not Overboosting Once The Cac Tube Hose Blows Off , It Never Seems To Stay On Properlu And Should Be Replaced.
