Turbonetics have a new flap type wastegate as opposed to the poppet valve type. Anyone had any experience with these as to how good/bad they are

i havent used it, but the idea is sound, its set up in a way to reduce the angle or flow disruption around the valve head, i dont think it would be warranted in anything but wild application,

my 62mm w/gate was 700 bucks custom made, and is rated to 1500hp, so you have to ask your self is it worth the cost for the new turbonetics gate.

personly i reckon it would only be warranted n an application that see's a conventional large size gate a restriction, which is hardly ever.

I've come across no one whos used it. The swing valve wastegate looks good but that wastegate is about $1400 landed here and I aint gona buy it to find that it dont work as good as the traditional Racegate. Well I spose I'll stick with the proven stuff. Better put that order in cause looks like the Aussie dollars gonna start droppin a little soon.
